So long farewell

Well guys, I’ve reached the end of my stay here in My Name is Jerry world. I’ve put in my 4 years at Ball State University and so it’s time to pass on this torch.

Its was great to see all of you and meet some of you at the screening in May. What a great experience to to end my senior year.

I plan on staying in touch with what is going on with the festivals and I can’t wait to see how big this really turns out to be.

Keep going My Name is Jerry team. We’ve done a great job so far!

So long, farewell. Keep me in the loop :)

Sucessful Screening

Thank you to all who attended the first official screening of My Name is Jerry!  Both the film’s team and our event sponsor, M Magazine, are honored that the event was so well attended – we sold out at noon the day of the screening!!!

We would especially like to thank Muncie Magazine for partnering with us to make this event possible.  Both of our organizations are committed to collaborating and growing the Muncie community.  To screen the film while celebrating the release of M’s anniversary issue ( http://munciemag.com/ ) was a great experience for us both.  We would also like to thank all of the volunteers who worked the event and kept everything running smoothly.

We are still sorting through all of the great survey feedback we received - and we are already starting on the film festival route.  Today, we’re excited to enter the Mill Valley Film Festival, West Hollywood Film Festival, Napa Sonoma Wine OUnty Film Festival, and Hardacre Film & Cinema Festival!

Coming Your Way

The screening is coming up!

Don’t forget about our deal. Just post your name in a comment and as soon as you get 10 people to mention you when they buy tickets, we’ll go ahead and give you yours for free!

For some more information about the screening you can go to mynameisjerry.com/tickets.

Its going to be a great experience, I’ve seen Doug Jones tweet about it, post a link on his facebook, and even write on his myspace inviting his fans and friends.

Another thing to look at is the teaser we just released! It’s a focused around Doug Jones and how, up until now, he hasn’t played a human in very many movies. But now we’ve got him as Jerry and its fits him just perfectly!

Are we having a screening?

As many of you should know by now if you follow us on any of the other outlets, we are having a SCREENING!!

Let’s cut straight to the chase. It’s at the Horizon Convention Center in downtown Muncie, IN on May 7th at 8pm. Someone special to the film will be there and his name is…oh what is it?…I think it starts with a D…oh yeah, Doug Jones will be there!

There will be a VIP event at 6:30pm before the event to hang out and meet Doug, the director, and other big contributors to the film. It’s a great chance to mingle and meet some cool people involved with the film before we all get to see the screening! Those tickets are $35 and can be purchased now right here. Trust me it’s worth it, the experience is going to be one to bring the camera for!

After the VIP event comes the screening at 8:00pm. If you want to only attend the movie screening you can purchase your tickets for only $10 right now here. Following the screening we’re going to want to get some feed back from you guys!

Once you’ve bought your ticket, tell your friends! Tell your parents! Tell your grandparents!

Tell you what… I’ll make you a deal, you’ll only get it here on the blog so pay attention: Comment back with your name so I know you are participating in our blog only offer. If you can get 10 people to buy tickets here and say your name in the referred by section then we will give you a free ticket to the screening. Ready, set, GO!

Its here!

The new poster and backgrounds are finally here! After telling you and telling you that it was coming, I’m thrilled to announce they are finally up and looking good. The other one was great to get the word out and really helped us get your attention but this one gives us a brand-new fresh look. It’s going to be the official poster for the film.

The merchandise has BUTTONS now! These buttons are a great way to support the film, put them on your backpack, purse, suit jacket lapel, converse high tops, mend a hold in your jeans, whatever you want.

We’ve got a whole new feel and a new way to look at the film. Let me know what you think, and how the new pins work out on whatever you choose to put one on!

We NEED You!

Yo! I know I mentioned this last time but we really need some of your input to make the DVD extras. You are the people who have been with us from the beginning and we would love it if you would be apart of this with us now! Here’s a link http://tinyurl.com/afelxx to a really short survey that asks your opinions on a few ideas we had but by all means feel free to lets us know if you have thought of something else. Like I said a few days ago, the sky is the limit (pretty much!). A few ideas some twitter followers thought of…

Maybe the vlog of “coldmirror” ^^ whith the comercials for the T-shirt

maybe “from first script to film” feature because it ran through many changes, right? I’m curious what actually changed.

I’ll make a deal with you, you give us 3-5 minutes of your time to take our survey and give us your ideas and we’ll make sure and try our hardest to get put your ideas into works. Deal?

DVD Extras

Hey-o! We are working on putting together the extras for the DVD’s. I figured since most of you who follow this blog are some of the most important people to the success of this movie that I would ask you first! We’ve done a little brainstorming ourselves and have come up with:

  • Meet the…Cast, Crew, Band (Satan’s TP)
  • Behind the Scenes…making of special effects, location (why Muncie)
  • Extras…Bloopers,Alternate Endings, Music
  • Meet the cast

What do you think? What else do you want to see? This is a great chance for us to learn more about what you guys want to see so let us know! The sky’s the limit, well sort of! :)

The first trailer is coming along nicely! It still might be a few weeks but I promise its in the works, we just want to make sure its the best it can be.

We’ve got wallpaper!!

And its not for your house, unless you print it off and paste it on your wall. Our wallpapers are for your computer! And they are themed! We’ve got Katlyn Carlson, Doug Jones, Don Stark, Catherine Hicks and the one on my background is My Name is Jerry.

These have been in the works for a long time so I’m really excited they are finally released. If you go to the website, click on DOWNLOADS,then click on the green WALLPAPERS button and there they shall be.

There are a lot of eyes working on the trailer. We want it to be in prime condition before releasing it but I can tell you that it will probably be soon-ish, maybe a couple of weeks ;)

The website is under construction. Its getting ready to have a face lift, but don’t worry, the changes won’t have any effect on the functionality of the website right now.

Keep in touch guys, we’ve got a lot of exciting things coming your way this spring!

#1 German Fan

Recently we have been adding a lot of friends from Germany on MySpace. After asking around and doing a little investigating we figured out where all these fans were coming from.

This is our favorite fan! She is so enthusiastic and excited about our film! Coldmirror, you made our day. It’s great to see such an amazing fan from so far away that is so passionate about our film we’ve all been working hard on. Thank you for your support! You’ve recruited your friends who are now looking at our sites and buying My Name Is Jerry shirts. You’re a great inspiration to us and hopefully to all of our other fans! Keep up the good work!
