I haven’t been able to say anything about post-production yet, and that needs to be remedied.
MNIJ is currently in the process of being edited by Ball State alum Jess Carfield. After graduating from BSU, Jess moved to the U.K. and earned his MFA at the London Film School, and now lives and works in Los Angeles as a freelance photographer and editor. He has worked with bands such as Motley Crue, Slipknot, and The Smashing Pumpkins, and recently made his directorial debut on FUSE TV for a documentary he made about Slipknot.
Jess is working toward a rough assembly of the scenes, and out of about 100 he’s in the 60s. We asked him a couple questions about editing up to this point…
What is your overall impression of the footage so far?
My overall impression is that the footage looks amazing and the performances are outstanding.
How does this project compare with others you’ve worked on ?
It is tough to compare a project like this to others I have worked on. I will say that I can see a team effort in the footage and am very impressed at how well the crew worked together.
Jess also had this to say:
“Be patient. That’s the best advice I can give everyone that wants to see this wonderful film.”
There’s the scoop. Keep checkin’ in for more goodies.

Dude, Layne, why hasn’t anything for the crew section been put up yet?

Dude, I dunno!
Actually, it’s just because sorting/editing all of the photos/video we have is slow, since we lost a lot of people after filming was completed. That doesn’t mean you’ve been forgotten by any stretch of the imagination - there’s just a mountain of material and a few lone sherpas to climb it. Or something like that.
Anyway, I apologize and will see what I can do about getting more crew stuff up here. Thanks for the suggestion!

Um…I tried to select a shirt size for the “My Name is Jerry” shirts but it won’t let me pick a size. Are you guys not selling shirts anymore or is it just a site problem? I hope it’s just a site problem because I really wanted to get a shirt but have kept forgetting to get one.

I just got my shirt today. There was one problem, though. The shirt is fine and it’s what I asked for and everything but the package/envelope thing that it came is was open when I got it. Again, I got everything okay but I thought that you guys might want to be aware that your package things aren’t being closed properly. It might’ve just been mine but thought I would bring it up with you guys anyways.
